Thank you for your visit.
Bright Education Centre was established in 2006 by a group of young undergraduate students in London universities and young professionals who took upon themselves to give something back to their communities. They were motivated to start the centre to prevent the next generation from experiencing some of the difficulties they encountered while attempting to integrate into to mainstream UK school system.
BEC runs highly successful Transit Alternative provisions during term time from Monday to Friday and Afterschool Club Academy. We provide personalised learning for pupils in Key Stage1 to Key Stage 5 in core subjects English, Maths, Science (based on the national curriculum) as well as pastoral care for each child in our centre including one to one mentoring for vulnerable students.
In addition to providing Afterschool Tutoring /enriching activities, mentoring to students at risk of exclusion and being a transit alternative education services provider, we also provide bespoke services as listed below:
We have five members on our management committee who are also drawn from a range of professional backgrounds. They meet quarterly to monitor the progress of the organisation against our aims.
Through our work we have averted the exclusion of many young people from school who with support from the centre have gone on to achieve academic success. We also witness the growth in confidence and development of leadership skills in many of our students which enables them to engage positively with their mainstream schools. We have strong evidence that our work is raising the achievement of students which opens up pathways for them to take up positions in further or higher education. Over 80% of the students we supported with level 2&3 went on to University or college.
